·       A “Music Night at Church” is being explored to possibly take place later in the summer.

·       Consistory is planning to host a Chicken BBQ. The timing is still being discussed.

·       Consistory is working on updating the “Use of Church” policies. More to come soon

·       Consistory is exploring the possibility of new cushions for the pews or other updated seating. At this time, they are simply trying to find estimates on what the costs could be.

·       Water Pump Problem – Repairs and or a possible replacement will hopefully begin following the end of VBS.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School will take place the week of June 9-13 from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. This year’s theme is entitled “Magnified” – Discovering the Bigness of God in the Smallest of Things.  We are in need of help for the following areas (crafts, decorations, games, leaders for the different age groups, actors, kitchen, setting up tables in the social room). We always need help ahead of the week it starts!!!  If you are interested, contact Miss Judy at 570-412-2814.  (WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!)

We will once again be having our silent auction following the closing of bible school.  Your donations of handmade items, baked goods and gift cards are needed to make it a success.  Please consider giving and stick around for the fun on Sunday, June 15th!

Kids of Dreisbach this is your lucky year! This summer you will be able to take part in a 2nd opportunity to learn about God at VBS. First, we want to see you all at our Dreisbach VBS “Magnified” run by our very own Miss Judy from June 9th – 13th and then from July 7th – 10th we encourage you to check out the BVLP Community VBS “Community Crusaders” at the Mifflinburg Town Park. Check out the flyer and QR code at the back of the sanctuary to learn more. Uncle Jerry will be lending his special talents to both VBS opportunities!

Rummage Sale Wrap-up

Thank you to the many people who helped make the rummage sale a success. You donated rummage, baked goods, and soup to sell, and food for the workers. You worked many hours setting up, selling, and taking down. Every contribution and all of you are essential to the sale. The results of your efforts: 57 quarts of soup sold for a total of $427.50. Pies, breads, cookies and other yummy treats sold for a total of $473.00. Those moneys will help fill backpacks with weekend food for hungry school children. Countless pieces of clothing, housewares, books, linens, furnishings, shoes, decorative items, and whatnots sold for a total of $8,272.61. Those funds will be used to support the needy in our area and around the world. We are deeply grateful. Judy, Holly, and Diane

Manbeck Food Stand

We want to thank everyone who helped out with the Manbeck Foodstand whether it was the workers, people who donated food items, set up the tents, taking items to and from the church, prep ladies and Cris Metzger who set up his electrical unit. We dealt with rain, wind and mud but the fellowship was great and we had a lot of fun.  Through these efforts, we were able to make $1,326.55 which is going to The Care Fund.  Thank you everyone!
