7/18/2023 Consistory Meeting Highlights

·       It’s hard to believe we are thinking about Fall, but Consistory would like you to please mark your calendars for a Brunch Church Picnic at the Gazebo.  September 10th following the church service.  Table service and drinks will be provided, just bring a dish to share.

·       Robert M. Sides will be installing microphones in the front of the sanctuary September 5, 2023.

·       Penn Central Conference will fill Welcome Backpacks for the Church World Service project, September 16, 2023.  If you are interested in helping fill the backpacks, please see Dave Beckley for the details.

·       The Mifflinburg Fire Company will be doing a walk through Dreisbach Church August 7th, to familiarize themselves with the building should an emergency arise.

·       After much discernment, Consistory would like to have an open discussion with members concerning locking the church vs. not locking for certain hours, to be more accessible.  This brainstorming session will take place the First Sunday in August.  Please have an open mind as we navigate what would be best for the church.

I hope everyone is staying cool and enjoying the summer!

Nursery Volunteers

Volunteers are available to care for your child in the nursery every Sunday after the Children’s Time until the end of the service. Parents and caretakers are welcome to send their children to the nursery during that time. All volunteers have appropriate clearances. If you would like to participate in this ministry, please contact Diane Hackenberg.

The volunteers for August are: August 6 – Michelle Owens; August 13 – Bonnie Dodge; August 20 – Diane Hackenberg; August 27 – Sharon Rein.

Save the Date for The Fall Rummage Sale

Fall is fast approaching and so is the rummage, soup, and bake sale.  Please mark your calendars for the week of September 17-23. If you have any questions or would like to volunteer talk to Judy Willow, Holly Snyder, or Diane Hackenberg. We hope to see you there!
