VBS Fundraiser

We will be having a fundraiser to cover the costs of our VBS program on Sunday, June 18th in conjunction with our bible school closing.  It will be a little different this time.  We will strictly be doing the ticket drawings from each bag to win the prize.  We will not be having the silent auction portion (bidding). As always, we need donations for prizes (gift cards, baked goods, gift baskets, home crafted items, etc.) to make this a success. We also hope you’ll show up to win some prizes and support our VBS on June 18th!

Welcome Backpacks for Church World Services

The Central Association is on the path to becoming more Spirit-filled passionate partners in ministry.  To “Fan the Flame-Fully Alive” we are going to support the work of Church World Services with their “Welcome Backpacks.”  Our goal is to prepare at least 20 of these backpacks, which will then be delivered to one of the CWS drop locations or the CWS facility in New Windsor, MD.

Church World Services helps people around the world that are forced to leave their home and begin a new life in various parts of the United States.  Most of them come with very few possessions.  Church World Services provides them with a “Welcome Backpack.”  Here’s a link for more information about the project:  https://cwsglobal.org/donate/welcome-backpacks/

There are 6 categories that you can choose from to help provide items for the backpacks.  Dreisbach has committed to filling 10 from categories 4 and 5.  The items we will be collecting include:  1 Gallon Ziploc Bags, Fruit Leather Strips, Protein Bars, Granola Bars, Fruit and Grain Bars, Trail Mix Pouches, Coloring Books, Crayons, Pads of Paper, Pens and Two-Pocket Folders.  Please see the sign-up sheet at the back of the sanctuary for exact quantities needed of each item.  Thank you.
