Highlights from June 23, 2022 Consistory Meeting
· Pastor John Yost has been performing Pastoral Care to members in need. If you know of anyone needing care, please let us know.
· The following members have been approved by Consistory to serve as our Search and Call Committee: Bonnie Dodge – chair, Mallory Leitzel, Jerry Amabile, Rich Schenck, Diane Hackenberg, Robert Pierce, Barb Manbeck, Sue Leitzel and Larry Snook.
· Sandy Catherman and Pam Pfirman have volunteered to be in charge of the Dreisbach message board out front.
· The Consistory will take the month of July off. The next meeting will be August 18, 2022. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Sharon, Dave or Tammy.
Bible Study
Rev. John Yost will be hosting a Bible Study on Wednesday Evenings 7p-8p starting on July 13th and continuing weekly through August 31st.
Studying Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount - Matthew 5-7
Upcoming Meetings
· Prime timers will be on July28th at 12:30pm at DC Coffee & Tea.
· The next meeting of the Prayer Shawl group will be held at the church on Wednesday, July 27, at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Nursery
Volunteers will be available to care for your child in the nursery every Sunday after the Children’s Time until the end of the service. Parents and caretakers are welcome to send their children to the nursery during that time. All volunteers have appropriate clearances. If you would like to participate in this ministry, please contact Diane Hackenberg.
July’s volunteers are: Diane Hackenberg – July 3; Lori Leitzel – July 10; Bonnie Dodge – July 17; Jesse Hackenberg – July 24; Ryli Amabile – July 31.
ON A ROLL WITH GOD
Thirty-three children were registered here at Dreisbach for a fun week of activities.
At Food Truck Party. Each night, "Chef Ravioli" greeted the children and "Jersey Dawg Jerry" geared the kids up for the night's activities and along with "Chef Alec and puppet "DJ Cupcake" who entertained the children with a skit talking with them about their daily learnings, lines from the prayer (Matthew 6:18} which taught them to turn to god to meet their needs.
Thanks to everyone who helped make the week run smoothly; decorations, crafts, kitchen crew and food donators, game leaders, teachers, leaders of the groups, and the sound/video person, Robert Magyar in making the sandwich boardsand Richard Schenck in making of the board props.
The offering for the week will be going to the school "City of Joy Rwanda" where it will be used towards the education and food for the children.
