7th Annual Fall Festival

The rain did not dampen this event.  We welcomed everyone into the church social room.  The room was filled with fall decorations, music, friendly greetings, laughter and much conversation.  There were many church members, families, friends and lots of folks from our community.  Good food filled the food line.  Many delicious baked goods and treats were available to take home, not to mention the pie tasting room (What Fun!).

The children were laughing and so excited as they played the many games.  The big hits were Pumpkin decorating and center piece of the room, the Dime Pitch.

The Festival was a wonderful event.

Thanks to all of you:

o   All the Volunteers that worked so hard

o   All those who generously made food and baked goods

o   All those who donated money and supplies

o   All the good wishes and prayers

Thank You the Festival Committee

Pie Contest

The rain didn’t dampen our parade of pie taste testers! With the event being held in doors we were able to keep the pies that needed refrigerated cold till the last minute! Congratulations to all those who baked pies for the pie tasting contest. We had 14 entries, (9 Adult Female, 1 Adult Male and 4 Youth up to 18). The winners in the Adult Female were 1st place Mallory Leitzel (snickerdoodle apple cheesecake pie), 2nd place Ella Willow (cherry pie, which she didn’t know she had entered) and 3rd place Elaine Rockey (butterscotch pumpkin pie). With only one Adult Male entry in that division, Greg Chamra took 1st place for his chocolate peanut butter chip pie. Hopefully next year we will have more males enter as this is his second year for being the only male contestant. In the Youth up to 18 division 1st place winner was Bentley, Yearick (oreo pie) 2nd place Collins Raup (chocolate chip pie) and 3rd place Connor Shively (creamy lemon pie). Congratulations to all these winners and a special thank you to all those who voted.
